Our Story

Arctic IT Government Solutions, LLC was established to support the growing need for government agencies to modernize their IT. We are a minority-owned, 8(a) certified Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE) serving the federal sector. The technology services and solutions we provide help the federal government stay current, cost-effective, and secure in an increasingly digital world.

Steve Schmitz

President & General Manager

Steve brings 26+ years of experience in Information Technology to Arctic IT Government Solutions. His expertise lies in Government Contracting, with 21 years supporting the Federal Government, including the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Department of Interior’s (DOIs) Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), and the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).

Director of Federal Services

Wayne brings over 30 years of experience managing, implementing, and supporting enterprise level Supply Chain Management, Customer Relationship Management, and custom developed systems across the Federal Government, including the Department of Defense, Department of Interior’s Bureau of Indian Affairs, Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the Department of Transportation.

Carrie is a results-driven federal business development leader with over 25+ years of experience driving growth in the government contracting sector. As Director of Federal Growth, Contracts & Proposals, she specializes in capturing high-value opportunities, leading compliant and compelling proposal efforts, and building strategic partnerships across the defense and federal/civilian markets.

Director Support Services

Steven has over 30 years of experience in information technology, specializing in project and infrastructure management. He leads high-performing support teams focused on application development, system reliability, clear communication, and exceptional customer service, and brings 11 years of experience working with Federal agencies, including the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of the Interior (DOI).

  • PMO Services: Our Project Management Office services ensure projects are well-governed and deliver results. We work with agencies existing federal Project Management teams, to support their needs, including defining/updating templates, working through an agencies specific IT management process, and monitor/report on other IT contractors’ ability to meet the scope and schedules set in their contracts.
  • Strategic Planning: We spend time listening to your agencies’ existing pain points, future goals, and pending federal governance changes which impact your IT systems. We will then work with your IT leadership to develop actionable strategies that drive your agency forward.
  • Change Management: Change is always hard, especially in a large organization. Our team can support your existing processes and tools, by providing senior level Change Management professionals who will manage changes to your IT systems.
